From Bertram to Kingsland Texas…!!!
Yesterday evening my camp in no man's land, 10 km before Bertram, was stored in a forest and so good! Crawling into your tent with 19°C and -6°C outside temperature in the morning… crazy cold!!! Packing and cycling to get warm in the cutting cold dry desert wind 🌵 but sunny! Fortunately a Mexican restaurant 6 km away to have breakfast with nice hot coffee ☕️ from 1 pm it was 0 ° C and that went up to Max 7 ° C
Looking for a motel in the evening when it was already seriously cooling down I came to the first along my route and thought yes 👍🏻 but they had no more water there….freezing cold for sure! So then only 10 km away from the route a 2nd but successful this time and I was willing to pay because the weather forecast was -10°C for the night that night!!! Checking in, doing laundry and washing myself and then eating…

Van Bertram naar Kingsland Texas…!!!
Gisterenavond mijn kamp in niemandsland een 10 km voor Bertram opgeslagen in een bos en maar goed! Met 19°C in uw tent kruipen en s’morgens -6°C buitentemperatuur…zot koud!!! Inpakken en fietsen om het warm te krijgen in de snijdende koude droge woestijn wind 🌵 maar zonnig! Gelukkig op 6km afstand een Mexicaans restaurant om te ontbijten met lekker hete koffie ☕️ vanaf 13uur was het 0°C en dat ging tot Max 7°C
In de avond opzoek naar motel toen het al serieus aan het afkoelen was kwam ik bij het eerste langs mijn route en dacht yes 👍🏻 maar daar hadden ze geen water meer….vrieskoude zeker! Dus dan maar 10 km van de route weg een 2de maar wel succesvol deze keer en dat had ik er voor over daar de weersverwachting-10°C was voor de nacht die nacht!!! Inchecken was doen en mezelf wassen om daarna gaan te eten…
